CSS and columns

So far for my blog (

I have been using a base template I found on MovableType's website (

http://www.movabletype.org).

Well, now I want to customize it so I have 3 columns instead of 2. I know it is all done via CSS, but I don't know where to look to figure out how it does the columns. My question comes down to, how do you do columns in CSS? If you want more information, let me know.
