csnw how do i set default tree for all users?

Hi
can anyone help me, I'm trying to set a default tree and context for all users on win 2000 computers, but each time a new user logs in, they are presented with the window requesting tree info etc.

I've tried the microsoft help, which suggests putting the line in the registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NWCWorkstation\Parameters adding the key: DefaultLocation:REG_SZ:*TREE\CONTEXT
but still others users get the window on log on asking for the preferred tree etc.
I need all users to be able to use the same tree and not be prompted with this window, can anyone help please?

First of all what version of the clinet are you using? I don't think it will make much difference but there maybe an issue with the version you are using!

Secondly have you got ZfD installed? If so have you considered using a policy to configure the client settings for all workstations?

Have you actually specified in the client setup the preferred server, tree, etc? Toby Heywood

There could be a number of places on the pc to put the settings.
Firstly, in network neighbourhood,propities, blah blah, novell client. Fill the bits in on the first screen.
Next try, in the novell client goto location profiles and setup the defaults there.

Try them 2 ans see.
