Have some PDFs and if they use gradients in the original (spot or 4c) they don't separate properly. View seps in Acrobat 8 Pro - looks okay on screen, print to postscript device from Acrobat - separates okay. Place in ID and view seps on screen looks okay - print to PS device from ID - the white areas of the background are filled with a screen.

Spooky. The PDFs have been created from a variety of sources - including Quark 7, InDesign CS2, etc. and all are having this issue.

Ideas? I'd rather try to fix than output my spot jobs as process or rasterize in PhotoShop.

Thanks,
Donna
