Hello,
I’d like to get your thoughts and feedback on an issue I am having with Adobe Photoshop CS2. I recently set up a new computer for our company’s graphics guy and have found an odd problem.
When opened in CS2, some files created in CS display incorrect colors. Let me be clear on this, this is not a perceived difference in color, the RGB values are different. The graphics guy’s old computer is still around and set up exactly as it was. He and I have opened files on his old computer that view correctly, make a note of the RGB numbers for a given pixel and then open the same file on the new computer, in CS2 and the pixels RGB value is different.
I’m talking way off, RGB black in CS, when opened in CS2 the color is tan, brown, or gray. It’s the same file! Opening the file in CS2 does not change the way it look in CS, so CS2 is not converting anything and saving it to the file.
Before moving to CS2, CS was installed on the new computer (we were waiting for the upgrade to come in.). I uninstalled CS, leaving the registry settings, and then installed CS2. The registry settings I am referring to are the ones that would allow CS to be reinstalled on the computer with out having to reactivate it.
Any thoughts you might have one this, please let me know.
I thank you four your time,
Ryan
