Hi!
I have just installed Photoshop CS2. And when I am opening it, I get the message "Pixel aspect ratio correction is for preview purpose only. Turn it off for maximum image quality" But I can not find out where to turn it off. Where is that thing?

Image > Pixel Aspect Ratio > Square

However, your image may look distorted afterwards, so take a note of what the existing pixel aspect ratio is so you can go back to it later. It isn't a destructive process, so you can go back & forth as much as you want.

I have the same Andershanssen problem, but here I didn't understood how to do. As well as Andershanssen when I am opening a ".tif" I received by fax-email, I get the message "Pixel aspect ratio correction is for preview purpose only. Turn it off for maximum image quality" But I can not find out where to turn it off. Where is that thing?
Many month ago (with CS1 may be?) I opened the fax-email I received as ".tif" in Photoshop. At the moment with CS2 I can read the sentence above and I cannot anymore print my fax because there is not enough pixel-size uality.
Thank you
Goiram

Did you try changing the pixel aspect ratio to square, as described above?

Image > Pixel Aspect Ratio > Square

Pixels used to be square in Photoshop, but now it supports non-square pixels too. When you open such an image, it gives that warning. Setting it to square again should fix it.

Again, I should stress, it's only a display issue, and the image data is not affected in any way. It's comparable to changing the DPI of an image with resampling turned off: the image data remains the same, but some applications will use the information to interpret the dimensions in a different way.
