Hello;

This forum has always been such a life saver! Save me again! I am looking for glyphs for other fractions than what are normally there. What I am finding automatically is 1/4, 1/2 3/4. How can I get all the others? 1/8m 1/16, 7/8 and more????

Does anyone know of a way to do with without creating my own new glyph and making them from scratch?

THANKS

I've never seen those. To search for various glyph type stuff open System Preferences/International. Click on Input Menu tab. Check the Show Input Menu checkbox. You'll get a new menu board item on teh right side of menu board.

Click and select Show characer pallette. Select View Roman and pick digits from teh scrolling menu. Select anything and the fonts containing it will appear in the bottom pane

I am using a Mac, system osX... I do not see a system tab to pull down from... on the mac the only place I see preference is under file, and then I don't see the input menu you suggested.

Any Ideas? or am I trying a PC thing on a Mac?

Thanks

Go to Apple menu and select System Preferences. Then click on International and follow the above instructions

...one way is to use an opentype typeface, type in your text box:

7/8

...highlight it and open the character palette, from the flyout menu choose opentype > [fractions]...

...an opentype font is required...
