Cs1K Campus Redundancy

We have deployed a Campus Redundant Cs1K HA - We have gotten the cores to sync via the high speed pipe but cannot get the Call Server, Alt Sig Server, Alt NRS Server or any phones to register at the Alt site. They reside in separate TLAN's through Nortel 5510 switches.
Main side where phones and all works well is 10.174.160.xx
Redundant side 10.174.97.xx

Any thoughts would be great

Have you made the ELAN network routable across the network? Can the SS's register to the Call Server? Without that, the rest is moot.

According to there data tech the ELAN does not need to be seen only the TLAN - any place I can find documentation to produce to him? What I found states that if they are in separate sub nets they must be different nodes - that di not do it

If ELAN's are in separate subnets then the ELAN MUST be routable across the network. All of your MGC's must be able to speak on the ELAN back to the active Call Server and Leader Sig Server.

Also, if they are on different subnets, then you will have to input routes in LD 117 so that the call server knows how to talk to the MGC's.

So, double check with your tech....is the ELAN subnet different on each side of the capmpus or not?

ELAN IP address is 1 address. You MUST have both connections to the call server in the same VLAN or when the system switches cores the data network will not know how to reach the equipment as it thinks the elan is on the other vlan. IP address does not change, the active call server has the control of the active elnk address.
