All SRG sets use PRI on CS1k to dial out. All SRG 911 calls get routed back to the SRG. I have a fax on the SRG that is currently using the SRG analog lines to dial out. What should I tell the PBX tech to program on their end to allow the fax to dial out over the PBX PRI?

I'll program the SRG fax to automatically grab the IP trunk off the SRG so the user can just dial the phone number. Obviously the pbx tech needs to program the pbx/NRS to acknowledgle that this is an outside call and route it to the PRI.

I want the SRG fax to dial out on the CS1k pri. 911 is already sorted out on the sets.

If you have a destination code of 911 on the SRG, and you want to use 9 for the access code for the fax machine, you'd want to enter the following destination codes:

9A
99A
91A

Point those to a route which uses the IP trunks, absorb none. Set your default public prefix lentgh to 8 or 11, depending on whether you do 7 or 10 digit dialing. Might need to set the DN type to public or national on the SRG route. Add 9 to the NRS against the main office endpoint with the proper call type (national, local, international, etc).

Once thats done, any 9+calls from analog devices on the SRG will go over the IP trunks and out the main office, assuming the CS1K allows calls to tandem through from the IP trunks, through BARS to the PSTN trunks.

You'll also need to put 991A as a destination code if you have 9911 built on the SRG. If not, and all you have is 911, then you can get by with just 9A and 91A. My first response included 99A, which isn't needed if you don't have 9911 built as well.

I'll be using 8 as the access code for the SRG voip trunks. I'll have to ask the pbx tech about the tandeming, BARS,etc

On the PBX end the route should be set to INAC=Yes so that any call other than UDP or CDP automatically inserts the AC1 bars access code.
