I have a CS1K 7.50 running on 1010 cabinets. My patch level is current on both the CS and UCM's.
The issue is that at times, on or two digital line cards, in the main cabinet only, will disable during the midnight routines. the card has to be disabled in software, reenabled where I can now IDC the card, however no sets will IDU, If the card is disabled again and reenable, all works fine until the next time. I have replaced the digital line card.
Any thoughts will be accepted.

Are these running 3900 series phones? If so have you updated the firmware on these phones?

2000 series plus a 2250 console Scratching my head perhaps AVAYA is my next step

If the digital line cards are a supported vintage then I think my next step would be to replace the MGC card.

I had an incident last month where a M3902 phone was taking out 3 DLC within a cabinet CS1000E. Everytime I had to disable the cards and enable accordingly. Everything seemed to get locked up. Looking at the logs identified some errors were coming from a M3902 set. Anyway I upgraded the firmware to the latest and greatest as it was behind the times - thinking it may help. Still the same scenario, replaced the telephone unit and voila no more errors and no more lock ups associated with the other DLC. Would have thought the issue was something other than what it was, but it ended up being the telephone unit.

I have also found a 2216 set which was an ACD set, virtually connected to the customer recording device. The customer refered this to the recording company and they found an issue with the way they had programmed the device.
Once they have resolved their issue, my card has been up for a time. I have also removed load 30 from the DROL.
Thanks all for your suggestiions.

We upgrade 4 large hospitals in Oct. 2012. There was a disclaimer in our contracts about versions of the M2xxx series phone not working, and we should replace them will later versions, or M39xx series with the latest firmware. We choose to go ahead, (have onsite stock of over 200 M39xx series) We had issue with about a total of 30-40 M2xxx where coming up disable after the “midnight” run. We replaced these phones with M39xx phones with the latest firmware updates and no more problems.

Nortel all the way
