CS1000MG and CS1000B

We are looking to upgrade our CS1000MG to RLS 7.5 but there is also a CS1000B (Branch Office) connected to it. What RLS does the CS1000B need to be to work with the CS10000MG and be supported by Avaya?

Thanks in advanced.

What release are you currently on?

I have seen a 6.0 Branch connected to a 7.5 CS1000, but don't know how old it will go. Your Sale Engineer should be able to tell you if you NEED to upgrade.

Your branch is supported on a lesser release. The issue is only with the NRS, which must be on the highest release.

My understanding is that the branch office should be on the same release as the main office to be officially supported. Avaya gives you 30 days to get the branch updated after the main office has been completed without slapping your hand, as it isn't always practical to do the branches the same time as the main. All that being said, I've seen BO's on 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0 successfully work with a main office on 7.5. As was mentioned, make sure the NRS is on the highest release of software.

I agree with biv343. We had a CS1000S with a B and a 5.5 system that was upgraded to 7.5. Now the B is no longer a site and the S is transformed into a SMG connected to the 7.5
