What do I need to do for a graceful shutdown of my CS1000E? An electrician will be working on the main panel that feeds my switch room. I have a good sized UPS but I don't know it's current duration. I have 14 shelves on this system. I know I should do a backup right before but what is the proper shutdown command? This system has been continuously running since 2007, hence I've never shut it down before.

what rls is it. do you have callpilot or other system over the elan?

There is no real Reboot Procedure.

For a hard reboot (you onsite in front of System)
Recommend being on port 0 as you will see bootup routine
Always do a ld 43 edd 1st (unless you have a issue which started before last midnight routine)
If you have Call Pilot please shutdown 1st.
Then power off the cabinets

Leave off for as long as you want but allow at least 1 min before re boot.
Power up main cabinet 1st , wait about 10 sec and power up rest of cabinets.

Should take about 2 min depending on how many patches are loaded.

Thanks for the tips. However, instead of risking something not coming back up, I took this opportunity to validate the battery uptime on my UPS. 45 mins + 0 downtime.
