Hi

I try to connection the frists phones on my CS1000E Rls5.5

The telephones are configured. The signaling server ping all phones.

However, phones can not register...

An error appears on the Signaling Server when a phones want to connect.
The Ip changes when the phone is changing.

ERR [KERN] in_arpinput:1197: arp: 192.168.10.6 is on fei1 but got reply from 00:0a:e4:0d:1b:c0 on fei0

ERR [KERN] in_arpinput:1231: arp: 00:0a:e4:0d:1b:d3 attempts to modify permanent entry for 192.168.10.7 on fei1

What should I do to register my phone?

Thanks

Check your LAN connections on the signaling server, and make sure you have the E-LAN and T-LAN ports going to the proper switch ports on your networking equipment.

Remember, the E-LAN and T-LAN should be on different sub-nets.

could always cheat & prog the ip info on the set manually & plug into TLAN on the MGC

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

Yes my E-LAN and T-LAN are on different sub-nets.

The Signaling Server can ping phones on the Elan Network.
But phones (2004P2) say " Server Unreachable "

I tryed to plug into TLAN on the MGC. The result is the same.

:(

The Signaling Server can ping phones on the Elan Network."

Here is your first problem. The phones should NOT be on the ELAN.

Sorry... it's a mistake

I want to say
"The Signaling Server can ping phones on the Tlan Network.

I made a plan of my system ... it should work.
80.90.100.2 255.255.255.248 Node Ip

80.90.100.3 255.255.255.248 Signaling serveur

80.90.100.4 255.255.255.248 MGC

80.90.100.5 .... DSP (Daughterboard 1)

80.90.100.6 ..... TELEPHONE 2004

(The beginning of these addresses are fictitious.)

The phone is on the same switch that the signaling server and the rest.
IPs are good, Signaling server ping the phone without problem.
I have no error on the server singaling. But Phone still no authentication.

Enable Line TPS is cheched on Element manager.

I have no more ideas ..

I don't know because there is no ping option on a 2004 phone.

Double-press the "Services" key and use the "Network Configuration" menu.

Silly question, but i think it needs asking:

What type of switch is this all connected to and how is that switch configured? Further to that, what is plugged into what?

can you log into the signal server? ping the phone from that interface.. you can also add a pc to the same vlan and ping sets from the pc... but if you can't log into the ss, your may be missing most of your config

Make sure that all the equipment of (CS1k,SS,MGC and IP phones) on the data switch must have STP disabled and AUTO neg on.

Thx for this inforamtion and Yes I can ping Singnaling server with the phone.

MagnaRGP, I have one BAystack-470 with default confuguration (Tlan). I have reset.
One Baystack 460 PoE for phone.
and a little D-link switch for Elan.

johnpoole, I can connect on SS, ping phone. My pc on Tlan can ping ss and Phone. phone can ping Pc and SS.

(don't worry i have configure the phone on LD 20)

Sommething is no logical.... That's Nortel.

These two posts are leading me to believe that there is some linking between ELAN and TLAN.

Can you post the IP addresses (ELAN and TLAN) of your devices as well as the MAC addresses of the SS and MGC/DSP?

I don't have any more this error.
But the phone still unregister.

Elan addresses:
192.168.10.2 255.255.255.0 Signaling serveur 192.168.10.3 255.255.255.0 CPPM CS
192.168.10.4 255.255.255.0 MGC

Tlan addresses:
80.90.100.1 255.255.255.248 Gateway
80.90.100.2 255.255.255.248 Node Ip
80.90.100.3 255.255.255.248 Signaling serveur
80.90.100.4 255.255.255.248 MGC
80.90.100.5 255.255.255.248 DSP

stupid question, have you got the line/tps box checked in the node config, because you wont do JACK without it & your phones wont register?

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

sorry have more question. Is this your first CS1k? Is the Sig Ser registered with the CS? are the IP phones on the same subnet as the TLAN if not have you ruled out a routing issue.

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

Scott UK

Is this your ELAN or TLAN?

I made a plan of my system ... it should work.
80.90.100.2 255.255.255.248 Node Ip

80.90.100.3 255.255.255.248 Signaling serveur

80.90.100.4 255.255.255.248 MGC

80.90.100.5 .... DSP (Daughterboard 1)

80.90.100.6 ..... TELEPHONE 2004

(The beginning of these addresses are fictitious.)

Thanks for all.
I found the Porbleme.

I had juste re-install the sofware 5.5 on Signaling Server.
And all phones are connecting normaly !

It was Juste a probleme with the Signaling Server Rls5.5 software...
