Would anyone be willing to provide an example of how VGW TN's would be provisioned for 128 DSP's at MGC Loop 0-0? MGC 0-0, 1- 32 port DSP DB and 1- 96 port DSP DB. The 96 ports DSP VGW's are provisioned 0-0-11-0 through 0-0-13-31. What about the 32 port DSP? My understanding would be program the VGW's at 0-0-0-0 through 0-0-0-31, however 0-0-0-0 is not a valid VGW TN.

You would only get 31 DSPs and start at 0 0 0 1.

It should be 0 0 0 1 for 32 port DSP DB on IPMG 1

Nortel suggests that you do not use 0 for a superloop because 0-0-0-0 is not a valid TN in the CS1000E even though it will allow you to program it.

1st daughterboard cards 11, 12 and 13 ports 0 thru 31 on each

2nd daughterboard card 0 ports 0 thru 31

Thanks tnphoneman. I suspected it could be something of that nature as you can program all 128 VGW's correctly on loops 4, 8, etc...

However what about a upgrade situation where the loop is pre-configured based on existing TN mapping? Just use the 31 VGW's at 0-0-0-1 through 0-0-0-31 rather than 32? Or could it be you can/should only use a 32 or 96 DSP starting at 0-0-11?

you can see on the DB slot where you can start like 32 port DSP DB starts at the beggining and 96port DSP starts at phantom slots (which is 11 -15) so it cant go wrong.

In upgrade scenario, the old MG1 is converted to IPMG1 which is superloop 0 shelf 0,so if you put the MGC to IPMG 1 ,DSP DB is on 0 0 0 x,its nothing to do with TN mapping as it is done on databse conversion only on the assigned TN
