I have a Cs 1000 release 5.5 and two sites that have BCMS. We have trunked them together using NRS service. One site when using the G729 codec will drop calls to certain area codes and prefix , but not all. The other site works perfectly using G729 codec. Both sites work correctly with G711. he only difference in the two sites , is the one that works correctly is a release 3 the one that fails on certain area code/prefix is release 6. The problem bcm takes all G329 calls in to it correctly. The weird part is the area code prefix problem as some other area codes it doesn't drop the call using G729 after the call is set up and works fine.
A head scratch-er as the settings on both system have been gone over with a fine tooth comb and are functionally identical except for the location in the element manager ala the release difference. NRS entries are identical and as I have said before, the older release can all in and out with g729 with on issues at all.
Anybody heard of this ?
