We have a SIP trunk group that we are using for office-to-office calling and also VOIP to the carrier. The route is setup on the PBX for outbound calls to do LINEAR and all inbound to the PBX is setup to arrive on the first channel, second channel, etc.
We keep receiving the message “PRI101 255 255 CAUSE 44”.

If I do a lookup of this error it shows
“PRI0101 loop ch c
The B-channel (ch) is locked out because a RELCOMP or RELEASE message
has been received with one of the following cause (c) values: 82 =
channel does not exist 44 = requested channel is not available
6 = alternate channel not acceptable”

After seeing this message appear numerous times throughout the day, it appears that numerous SIP channels are going into LCKO status.

If we disable then re-enable each SIP channel that was in LCKO status, it is almost instantaneous that the SIP channels go into LCKO status again.
There does not seem to be a pattern on which channels go into LCKO status neither.

Does anyone know what could be causing this issue or if anything should be checked to ensure proper configuration settings?

In your RDB, you could try changing the NEDC and FEDC to ETH. This may help, but I give no guarantee. :)

Allenmac,

Thank you for the suggestion, but it did not make a difference :(

The problem could be MSBT. I would change the trunks to MSNV ( no media security)
