Hi,
We have several CS1000E Systems (co-res and HA) all running Rls 7.5. We have primary and a backup security server (each is a CPDC card with Rls 7.5). We are about to install a new CS1000, but it came with Rls 7.6.

I was wondering, do we have to upgrade our security servers first to 7.6 before doing anything. And if so how do we back up and restore the existing NRS on the security servers?

Regards
Terry

Yes, you need to upgrade the Primary and Backup Security servers first. The NRS is backed up to a tar file and you can save it and restore it from your laptop. After the restore of the NRS do a cutover and commit and restart applications.

Actually, if you are just adding a site at 7.6. I bet it's fully compatible with 7.5. You may not need to upgrade anything. Just install your new switch.
