I have a CS1000 that went down, tried reseating everything, even tried with the processor hot... It just repeats the boot/copyright info over and over.

I did scroll back the terminal and was able to pull the following:

IOD071 - ERROR READING DIRECTORY 100001 100001

Those were the only thing I could find other than the repeated initial boot and self test that kept repeating.

If we need to replace the processor, what all are compatible?

Current: ntdk20ab rel. 7

It looks like you just lost the software, not the entire card - IOD071 - ERROR READING DIRECTORY 100001 100001 - however, I would be in a hurry to find another NTDK20 (any release) and the software daughterboard. Did you reseat the software daughterboard?
If you have to reload software you are going to need your last database backup and your keycodes. If that is not available, you may be in for trouble. Since Avaya does not support release 22, they probably wont be able to generate new codes although they might *might* be on KRS. There werent many patches, if any, for release 22 so I wouldn't worry about that.

You could try to recover the daughterboard with the fbug procedure. But again, you would have to have the software for the system. Takes about 30 minutes, but I have done that without issues before.

Thank you, trying to reseat the daughter board now... Ofcourse there is no memory card in it so NO BACKUP!!! And nobody knows where the keycodes are... [banghead]

As it powers up, can you get into "pdt"?. I'd try to copy over the database.bak and config.bak files with the database.rec and config.rec files as I think the *.rec files have gone bad, then reboot the SSC card to reload it with the backed up files.

I had this problem a while ago.

An easier way is to boot up the SSC card and go into "Ctrl I" to the installation menu. From there select the restore from the backup drive. That might do the trick?.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
