Hi, I have the same issue as reported in this old thread:

I too can only call from the Asterisk to the CS1000, calls the other way fail.

1. CS1000/NRS config good (can call other Nortel endpoints both ways)
2. Asterisk is set as a static SIP endpoint and has a routing entry (8/CDP)
3. Dial plan on CS1000 set to send 8xxx to NRS
4. SIP routing tool in NRS confirms calls for 8xxx should be routed to Asterisk enpoint.

Can anyone familiar with this issues help out please?

many thanks. norlee

And you can answer yes to all of these? I would specifically point out #9 since you didn't confirm that in your post - you didn't talk about your DNS entry.
Maybe we need more info ... how does the call fail? Dead air, busy, fast busy, etc?

1. Do you have a SIP route built in the CS1000?
2. Do you have an RLI referencing the SIP route in LD 86?
3. Do you have your CS1000 Configured as a SIP endpoint in NRS?
4. Do you have a Node ID built and working?
5. Do you have licensing in your CS1000 for SIP Access Ports?
6. Do you have the Asterisk PBX configured as a Static SIP endpoint in NRS?
7. Do you have Routing Entries configured in your NRS for your Asterisk PBX?
8. Do you have CDP, DSC entries in LD 87 referencing the DNs your Asterisk PBX is using?
9. Do you have a DNS entry that matches your NRS's IP to the Service Domain defined in NRS?

Once you can answer yes to all that, the Nortel side of your configuration is done.

My abbreviated 1-4 includes all points listed in your 1-9
As per point 1. CS1000/NRS config good (can call other Nortel endpoints both ways)

Many thanks for your help.

I still don't see anything about DNS in your points 1-4 ... can you elaborate on how your calls fail please?

I'll bounce the question to the LAN admin man and get back when I have his answer.
