CS1000 3.0, 2008 beeps when calls go to voice mail 2

One of my users has a M2008 with only one line. When he's on the phone and a call to his dn is sent to voicemail, he hears a very loud beep. How can I turn this off? A CLS setting I presume. Thanks.

How about a print out of his phone? More than likely it's WTA in class instead of WTD. Just a guess without seeing the actual print out. Is the HUNT and FDN defined properly?

I think the WTA in the class is causing this. Change it to WTD

Thanks - I'll give that a try. Funny that others set to WTA aren't complaining about it.

Because it isn't WTA. WTA is the default and means there will be a tone heard if an Operator using a M2250 Console Camps On (they can't cause he has Hunt) or if they Busy Verify (they can do that).

How would this person know if a call was being sent to his DN when he is on a call?? He wouldn't have any indication, since his line is busy.

However, he would see the message lamp light up if they left a message.

I suspect his phone is off hook, or they use a headset, and he is just hearing the beep tone that a call is ringing his DN. Turn the volume down.

Changed to LHK=0 (was originally 1) seems to have fixed it. If not, I'll try the WTD.
