CS Host message when opening IE in metaframe 1.8 environment

When users open IE5.5 sp1,the following message appears requiring users to say OK several times before message disappears.

CS Host message
name= Error number 2146827859 description = Automation server can't create object message = Automation server can't create object

Help.

It looks like this is an issue with comet cursor. I was having the same problem and found the answer at this site

just uninstall and the error went away for me. I guess comet cursor tried to install on my machine.

Was getting same error through terminal services, yes this was the dreaded comet cursor. Thanks.

I too had that automation server can't create object 2146827859, . I started deleting from all areas EXCEPT the install/uninstall in internet options ( I NEVER INSTALLED IT)! so therefore when I discovered it in options, it would NOT let me delete because I messed up the threads. Finally, cometsystems has a web site that will uninstall it for you. walla! no problems now.
