i have illustrator CS, saved as illustrator eps file, my printer is using illustrator 10 to open, but it won't open. Any ideas??

CS doc won't open in older versions of illustrator

In CS you can no longer 'save as' an earlier Illustrator version.
Instead go to 'File>Export', and export as an 'Illustrator Legacy EPS' (Legacy meaning older version), then you will get a save dialogue window, select which version of Illustrator you want to save as (in your case 10).
Moe: It could have been a real ugly situation, but luckily I managed to shoot him in the spine.
