Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I'm relatively new to photoshop.
My problem is that whenever I change a picture to grayscale, all the shades of gray turn to a shade of purple, making it look like a purple toned photograph, but I really just want a B/W photo. When I save the picture in greyscale and then open it seperately, it comes out grey, and if i switch it back to RGB in photoshop it turns out purple when opened seperately.
This might not sound like too much of a problem, but I would really love to be able to edit my picture and see what it will look like withou saving and opening it again in another program, and I'm sure there just some switch I need to turn on/off. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance!
