Hi,

we are having a release 5.5 installed which shall be administered by a newbie. For a newbie would it make sense to take a training in Release 7.5 at a training centre although the newbie shall administer release 5.5?

This would be the firest training on the CS1000!!!

regards,

Yes they should take 7.5 as I am surprised you can even install 5.5 - I thought that version is not supported for Avaya support any longer. We are upgrading to 7.5 in a month or so as we are on 5.0 and it is no longer supported.

I agree with Tman45,

The fundamentals of CS1000 maintenance and administration do not change that much from one release to the next, although 7.5 has several new requirements and features.

For most, the Familiarity and Database Fundamentals classes are the first training classes taken.
