Hi Guys,

We have a CS1000 running Succession 4.0. It is the cabinet based model and was upgraded from 25.4 about 2 years ago. The system went down and when it is coming back up it is saying it can't access the c: drive. It is not able to write it's reports, find it's ip address, or get the security database. This is keeping us from doing anything. Is their a HD on the SSC card? I know we have a PCMCIA backup from the last time AT&T was out but I am trying to see if there is anything we can do to fix it quicker than waiting a week for them.

Thanks,

Doug

Hopefully you have the 4.0 software on a PCMCIA card. Contact your vendor and have them look at the system for recovery of the drive. (It's a memory drive...) If they can recover it, your okay. If not, you have to reload the system from the 4.0 PCMCIA card and restore your backup. It shouldn't take long.

Good luck,
DocVic

Docvic said exactly what you need to know/do.

Looks like you need a new vendor.I can help you with that. A trouble like this would be addressed within 2 hours.

Let me know

In basic terms, the daughterboard on the SSC card contains the software, which is in effect the "hard disk"!. This card will need formatting & the software reloading via a PCMCIA card with 4.0 as has already suggested.

It takes me around 1 to 1 1/2 hours to repair and leave a site fully working with either the previous days database recovered from the "Z" CPU Card, or from the last backup taken.

All the best

If it's working, then leave it alone!.
