Crytsal reports on web

hi,
i hva worked with crystal reports5.0 but now we are moving
to cr8.5 to be web enabled.I hva a question regarding
how to publish my reports on web.what we need actually?
only crystal reports is enough or crystal enterprise is also
required.what are the steps involved to deploy
reports on web.

any suggestions higly appreciated.

There are several approaches but they rely on you installing Crystal Enterprise on your web server.

1) Use the Web Component Server and access your reports via a URL...

http://webserver/webfolder/this.rpt

You can pass paramaters, logins, etc. via the URL but it's all visible in the URL

2) Use Crystal Enterprise fodlers and structures

http://webserver/crystal/enterprise

But using this method, everyone sees the same reports and has the same security setting.

3) Use CE, and access the report via the report ID.

http://myServer/myVirtualDirectory/viewrpt.cwr?id=152

Lots of control and works well.
