I have several reports that I have written over the years specific to the main application I support (Macola) that I sell to the user community. I would like to place these reports online for users to see, and then ideally buy. Crystalreports.com seemed to be a good way to do this,

This actually works perfectly, with one huge issue: is there a way to disable the export capabilities of a report in the .rpt format?

I don’t mind if the user exports to .pdf, but if the export to .rpt format, then they have the complete design of the report! This is what I would like to avoid, for obvious reasons.

Crystalreports.com support told me to uncheck 'enable take report offline' on the report properties, but that does not stop the user from exporting to .rpt format. I have inquired further, but I have not gotten an acceptable answer yet.

Hi dgillz,
I have a similar need and was thinking of using CrystalReports.com. I just posted to the BusinessObjects: CrystalEnterprise forum about how to handle a request from someone in our Marketing group who wants to allow our end customers access to either schedule reports or access to reports that have already been created for them. Could you give me some details on how you are using CrystalReports.com.

Regards,
Bessebo
