Crystal XI Default Value in Date Parameter

Hi

I have only just started using Crystal Reports XI after using version 10 for the last 3 years.

I'm having problems when creating a Date parameter of getting it to set the default value to the currentdate. (In version 10 if you left the default value blank it would automatically default to currentdate but this doesn't seem to be the case in XI)

I've seen forum posts about setting up dummy default values and then using an IF statement in the record selection screen.
Am I going nuts? or is this really how i'm going to have to write all future reports?

No and yes, although you can use and/ors instead of ifs, if you want.
