I'm using Crystal XI on WinXP an IBM Universe database.

I am trying to figure out how to create a parameter field with a drop down list populated by specific date ranges that are not stored in a database.

Hello!
I think that you can do this by "Setting Default Values" when you Edit the parameter...
Never done this before so I can't tell you exactly how to work it but I would just type in the date ranges and add them to the right side by using the '<' once you have clicked on the "Set Default Values" in the Parameter Dialogue Box...
Then I would think that you would set the date field to be equal to the parameter...in the selection expert...

As far as I can tell, this can't be done in CR XI, so I too would be interested if someone has found a way to do this. I can't get ranges to populate the value list no matter how I format them. Then when I refresh the report, the prompt comes up with the start date and end date of the range shown in separate display areas. There were some features of older versions that were superior to those in XI. With the exception of the dynamic and cascading parameter features, I think the older parameter screens were easier to work with. The edit mask feature doesn't work the way I'd expect either.
