Crystal XI currency symbols in data not printing correctly

We have stored currency symbols in our data and conditionally print these on reports depending on the currency applicable to the data printed. Our £ signs are printing as u'. In our previous report writer (R&R) we had to tell the software to use the ANSI character set. Do I need to do something like that in Crystal?

Thanks for any help.

Also if anyone can help me with my previous posting about the RDC crashing on some machines, I would be most grateful as I haven't found any solution so far.

I would check the font of the field containing that symbol. When set to a standard font such as Arial or Times New Roman, does it work?

Changing font has no effect on the symbol. It just changes in size.
