Hi,
We are using the Crystal Reports for Eclipse 2.0 (Version: 2.0.3.r745) in a Java web application.
I am first developing reports in Crystal Reports 2008 and incorporating those into the java app. One issue is the viewer that comes with Eclipse is giving me an error (InvalidFunction) when i try to view reports with crosstabs that use the new calculated member functions. I figured a work around to this by removing the calculated members using multiple cross tabs, but now i have some formatting problems.
For instance my crosstabs are configured with custom number formatting to not show any decimals and round up to the nearest 1's and to only show brackets for negatives (eg. ($123,457). In Crystal 2008 designer, the report looks perfect, but when i view the same report in the Eclipse Crystal Viewer through our java app, the numbers default back to -123,456.78 and don't even show the dollar sign.
any ideas on why this is happening, and also has anyone used an alternate viewer within Eclipse other than the default Crystal Viewer?
