Crystal viewer in vb.net won't work on web

Hi:
I'm hoping someone can help.
I have a simple Crystal viewer in Visual Studio 2005.
It runs a crystal report on the web server that connects to a database on a remote server. I connect to the same database in a Datagrid view and everthing displays fine.
When I run the web page under local host it works fine. I then copy it to the Web server and it asks for "report needs additional info. If it works using local host why doesn't it work on the web? I've tried adding a button and adding code behind it but nothing works. It also has all the Crystal resources that it needs. If it's permissions on the web server how do I debug it.

What is 'report needs additional info'...is this exact error message? Which information the report is looking for?

The message that I'm gettting is
"The report you requested require further information."
It displays a box that asks for server name,database,username and password. And yes I've passed that information in the vb web form but it doesn't seem to
take. Again why does local host works and the web not.

I'm not sure what version of CR comes with 2k5, but In the versions up to CR XI, the web viewer control requires server licensing. Not sure if that's your issue or not. Head over to

and see if there is anything in their knowledge base.
