Is someone able to point me to a document that has a definative answer to enabling SSO. I have trawled through a number of threads on this forum and others to no avail. I have recently installed SP3 (as I can't get SP4 to download) hoping that would help.

Any help much appreciated

Regards,

David

There a few diferent ways to configure SSO, which way do you want to do it? Are you using Windows AD, WIndows NT or LDAP authentication? Are you using IIS or Tomcat as your application server?

xir2_bip_deploy_en.pdf contains much information regarding configuring SSO

boe_xi_net_single_sign_on.pdf for SSO on IIS

The xir2_bip_admin_en.pdf guide also contains SSO configuraton info.

boe_xi_r2_end_to_end_sso.pdf if you wish to configure end to end SSO - (SSO for User login to BOE and database login)

Groggle,thanks for you reply, do you have URLs for these docs? I have searched the BO site but can't find them.

I am using IIS on 2k3 server with AD. I have managed to get things working to a point, but I still get the login page displayed. When you click log on without filling in the boxes you get logged on with the correct credentials. I just need to get rid of the login page. Any ideas?

cheers,

David

In your web.config file do you have "secWinAD" as the authenticationDefault property?

yes,"secWinAD" is the authenticationDefault property

OK, do you have the following:

ssoEnabled = "true"

Added the following line above <authentication mode = "None" />
<identity impersonate="true" />

Changed <Authentication mode = "Windows" />

Groggle,

Thanks for your time and effort, I have just done a server restart and all appears to be working now.

cheers,

David

Good. My final post was ging to suggest restarting IIS!
