We are delivering Great Plains 7.5 via a couple of Windows 2003 Terminal Servers. We have written a number of Crystal Reports (version 9) that we launch from Great Plains. Currently, we have installed Crystal Reports 9 Develoepr Edition on the terminal servers so the reports can be run, but we realize that this most likely violates Crystal licensing. We'd like to provide the minimal installation of Crystal possible that would allow users to still run their reports. All report development is already done on individual developer PCs.
I've looked through the runtime.chm file provided with Crystal 9 developer, so I have an idea that it can be done. The trick seems to be picking exactly the right subset of runtime files, and packaging these into an installation package.
Has anyone done this? What *is* the minimum set of files required? What is the preferred method for creating the MS installation packages?
