I've recently looked at the 30Trial version of Crystal Server, and cant seem to find if it has a featur or not.

Currently, Our business is using Seagate Info 7.5, and it has the ability to have the same filename.rpt referenced in many folders.

I want to know how in CRS11 this would work. What I am trying to acheive is having different business units to have their own folders, but only having to modify a report tempalte once in many locations.

I cannot seem to work this out - and dont want to invest unless its something the tool can do!

I believe what you seek is a shortcut to the report.

In Infoview go to the report and select it and create a shortcut to it within another folder.

I did look a the shortcuts, but it didnt acheive what I wanted. When a report is scheduled via either the origional or the shortcut, the result is visible in both locations. I only want it to be visible in the location its scheduled. Else i will have one object with around 100 schedules associated with it, and a) would get confusing, and b) impossible to lock down by business unit from a security point of view.
