Hi,

Can someone explain how I setup CR in a VB program?

I really appreciate the help.

Thanks..Russ

When you install CR on your system it adds some OCX & DLL files to your system which can be used in your application ,
SO tell me what are you lokking for to tell you the Which OCX or DLL file you need in your application

Hi
I had the same problem this chap replied to my thread and it worked. only probs is its the old, cheap free version of crystal reports that ships with VB6
here Goes!
"There is a very old version of CR that comes for free with VB6. You have to find it on the CD because it doesn't install automatically or list as an option.

This OEM version qualifies for upgrade to the current version. There is an article about this in my last newsletter:

Hope this helps

Sorry the "" marks got in my link
Anyways this leads you to a website
Which basically says Crystal Reports 4.6 is included in the setup file Crystl32.exe. This file will be located on one of the Visual Basic or Visual Studio CDs.

For more information on Crystal Reports 4.6 for Visual Basic, refer to Microsoft Knowledge base article Q193336: HOWTO: Install Crystal Reports for Use in Visual Basic 6.0
Hope this helps AGAIN sorry!

Thanks I'll have a go at the Microsoft article. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm sure I'll be in good shape now.
