We have just started using Accpac and I would like to produce some customized reports (ex: Jobcost reports, Finanical Statements) Is Crystal Reports the best option for this? Will I be able to customize the templates Accpac provides with Crystal? Will I be able to export data to Excel using Crystal?

Thanks

That's an ambiguous question. Is Excel user friendly? Is Powerpoint user friendly? It depends on the user. Are you comfortable with outer joins, formulas, and parameters? Then the answer is yes.

I feel confident that I will be able to use it but as I go through some of these threads and the lingo that's used I feel like a total idiot. Hopefully it will make more sense as I start getting using it. I used to edit the specification files in the dos version of accpac.

Thanks again for your response.

I started using the DOS version of Accpac in 1989, and I transitioned to Crystal OK. If you ever used Quik Reports, you'll be fine. Open existing Crystal reports when you start to see how things are structured.

Just a comment, Financial Reporter is best for financial statements, Crystal is not the right tool for this. Crystal is perfect for other reports.

Crystal Reports for Dummies is a pretty good book to get into Crystal.

I have been trying to load data into a training DB and of late, when I get to the point of "loading data into" , the systems gives me an error 'Empty-DB(Error=133 native code=942) message.
Pliz what might I be missing-out on or messing on.
Requesting for Assistance

I need to over-write the training DB for it was not processing P/O invoice entry. Was giving me a Damaged Data error and that Table APIBC could not be found
