Crystal Reports XI - Sorting Issues

Does anyone else find sorting a field in Crystal Reports a real pain when the group fields are different to the field you want to sort ???

My groups are product and client and I want to sort the costs descending per group.

I can get costs to sort descending by customising the group name but then it throws off other sorting in the report !

Is there a "order by" or "sort by" formula that can be used ?

You can do a top N sort, select N to be big enough to cover all groups. This will then sort by costs descending.

Create cost summaries for each group level.
Then, use the menu option of Report, Group Sort Expert...
Note that the resulting dialog will have a separate tab for each group level.
