I have installed Business Objects XI Release 2 in a Test Environment. I also installed Service Pack 1, the MHF1 (Monthly Hotfix1) and the Daylight Savings Critical Update. Now I am installing Crystal Reports XI Release 2 and it appears that I may have to reinstall Service Pack 1? Is this true because on the Support Site it says:
Note: The service pack for Crystal Reports XI Release 2 is part of the larger BusinessObjects XI Release 2 service pack.

And at the end of the Crystal Reports XI Release 2 install it searched for program updates and did not find any. So I am confused as to whether I have to install any service packs for Crystal Reports XI Release 2 after performing the install.

Any help would be appreciated...

bobj and crystal reports share 'common files'. If you plan to have crystal on the same server as bobj, you have to install them sort of concurrently, but I think the service pack might not be the issue...

I think this would be a good order to go in, others may confirm or deny:

bobj xi + service pack 1 (I believe these came together on our disks that is why I think it's ok for both to be done before cr)
cr xi
Release 2 - this is for both bobj and cr xi, so don't install it BEFORE cr xi!

mhf1 for cr
chf #15 or 16 for cr

I'm a little confused. I will have Crystal Reports XI Release 2 on a number of clients, not on the server. So if I have already installed BOXI R2 on the server plus service pack 1, mhf1 for BOXI R2.

Now I install CRXI Release 2 on a client it sounds like there is a mhf1 for Crystal REports XI Release 2 that I should also install on the client?

Ok, I didn't see where you mentioned this was a client install of cr xi r2.
If you read the dst notes on the bobj website it states that for 'stand alone' installs of crystal reoprts xi r2, you have to first install a mhf1 and then either chf 15 or 16, so yes, there is a monthly hot fix which is required.
