Greetings,

Within a crystal report I have created a dynamic parameter utilising the existing datasource as a List of view.

When previewing the report it fails with
'List of Values failure:fail to get values. [Cause of error: Failed to open the Connection.]

So I thought this would be a connectivity/permissions error.

I have discovered the "Business View Manager" and the rights for the data connection are granted to everyone for "data access"

For each of the components in the Repository Explorer I have use the Tools > Test Connectivity option of all which have passed.

Are there any other test I should do to ensure any of these elements are set up correctly (I can browse data in the Data Foundation from the tableview)?

I also believe I have to populate the LOV's when I schedule to do this for either of the cascading fields it fails with
"Failed to read data from the report file" and specifies a local .rpt in my Temp directory, Reason: "Failed to read parameter object".

Also for exisiting Dynamic Cascading Prompts I can see a Prompt Group object, for my newly created Dynamic Cascading Prompt I cannot see a prompt group, why would this be?

Apologies if these are newbie questions and a lots of question within a single post, I've been tasked to take over responsibilities of Crystal Reports install and it a steep but enjoyable learning curve!

Thanks
Rob
