I am trying to create a parameter to be used as part of the selection critieria when running my report. The create parameter screen has changed quite a bit since Crystal Reports 10 and I can't figure it out, nor is the help helping me. I want to create a parameter for customer name and have a drop-down list of customer names (which would come from the database) to select from. Can anyone tell me how to set this up in Crystal Reports XI?

Select Dynamic as the type and point to the data source and it's field.
You'll still need to use the record selection formula to use the parameter against a field in the query.
There are advanced concepts as well, such as creating a "All":
Check out the prompting.rpt sample report (in the feature examples directory) for an example. It's pretty slick as it uses a Add Command to Union in the All Choices.
