Crystal reports v8 and network printer

Hi all,
I've created an invoice using crystal and when i print it to a local colour printer every thing comes out correct. However, printing to a network printer - over a kilostream line - and i get no colour. I can print to this printer from word, excel etc in colour with no problem. Just to make it a little more frustrating, when i do a reprint of the invoice that comes out in colour..
Any ideas why it wont print in colour first time around??

I had the solution to your problem until you told me that it works fine the 2nd time around :-D

Seriously though....it could be the print driver.

1. Make sure the PRINTER DEFAULTS are set to "color" (I know my printer allows me to set B&W as default and only print color when I say so.)

2. Make sure the print driver and settings are the same one the network print server and client workstation as they one on the machine used to develop the report.

Thanks for the response. I've had the printer drivers checked and they are set to color. Unfortunately the report was developed off site with another printer driver. It certainly is a weird problem cos like i say, all other programs print color fine and a reprint of the invoice prints color. Maybe i should load the printer driver on the development machine and see how that reacts....

Are you able to modify the report? If so "change" the printer driver in the report, save and try again. Chances are that the person who developed the report did not use the driver you are using. (And Crystal can be very fussy about printer drivers.)
