Hi,

How do you pass record selection parameters from a main report down to a subreport to use as well?

I've tried WhilePrintingRecords-Shared Variable, but it wont work as its too late in the processing sequence (I think). To make the report work I have setup the same paramteres in both but this is a pain for the users who have to enter the selection criteria twice.

Can any of you clever people help?
Cheers,
Tim (UK)
Hum...a beer I think.

There is a full dialog within Crystal designed to do exactly what you need. Right-Click the subreport and select "Change Subreport Links..."

CUT, Visual CUT, and DataLink Viewer:
view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Just a question; I was under the understanding that you can not use results from a subreport to use as part of your selection criteria. Am I incorrect here? I had the same problem so I created a VIEW instead of a subreport which gave me the results I needed. "Results are evaluated Later" is the error you would get or something to that effect.

Thanks
Mark

markajem: You're correct, you cannot use a subreport to base the selection criteria for a report calling the subreport.
