Hi,

I have been searching the internet for crystal reports templates. However I have not been able to find any good site or link that provides these templates.
I have Crystal Reports Developer V10 installed on my system. It has just a few 7-8 templates(not really useful).
Please help me with a site or link from where I can get templates?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. :)

Thanks,
Aditya

I know of no such site. If you are working with a particular application, the application vendor will usually supply a few.

You need to create your own reports for the most part. Do you know how to do this?

Templates in Crystal are used to apply a style to an existing report than offering a standard starting point. Useful if there is some fancy 'house style' that the report needs to conform to after you have got it working. But not if everyone accepts the basic layout that you'd get using the 'Expert' functions.

If you're wanting a basic report that includes standard elements - "template" in the sense the term it is used in Microsoft Word etc. - you'd be better off creating your one. What I've done is create my own "templates", which I call __Template_A, __Template_B etc. I pick one up and then use Save As to begin a new report that is already set as I like it.

You can also save such a "template" and apply it as a Crystal Template to an existing Crystal report. But this process has a way to picking up and re-using fields in odd places, not entirely satisfactory.

Crystal should have come with some examples, showing functions like Crosstab, Group, Sum etc.

PS. It helps to give your Crystal version - 8, 8.5, 9, 10, 11 or whatever. Methods sometimes change between versions, and higher versions have extra options.
