I am using a subreports to find records in a different database than the main report and bring these back to the main report to display. All I wish to see are the results brought back to the main report (via a shared variable). Unfortunately, the subreport displays it's findings on the line (don't want it to) before the reult is showed in the main report. If I try to HIDE or SUPRESS the line with the subreport, NO result comes back to the main report (as if the subreport is not even running).
The subreport is in the GROUP-HEADER and the main report line is in the GROUP-FOOTER line.
Thanks

You can set the subreport to show nothing, and also make it very small so it becomes unnoticable. You can pass the data back using a Shared Variable, use SEARCH to get details.

You can suppress all sections WITHIN the subreport. Then also select the subreport->right click->format subreport->subreport tab->check "suppress blank subreport". If you want the group header of th emain report to entirely disappear (and the sub is the only object in it), then go into the section expert->group header->check "suppress blank section". Be sure to remove the borders on the subreport for this to work.
