I am trying to encapsulate a sub report that is in a group header into a text box to avoid it appearing as a hyperlink. Is this possible in Crystal Reports?

A sub-report will behave as a hyperlink if it is formatted as an On-Demand sub-report.

In design view for the main report, right click on the sub-report and click on Format Subreport and on the Subreport tab unselect On-demand Subreport.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Pete.

The "On-demand Subreport" was not checked off. The subreport displays as soon as the report is rendered.

I am still unable to drop the subreport in a text box, which will remove the link problem. If I place a text box on top of the subreport it still allows the user to click on the subreport (as if it were a link) and it opens up another tab with the same subreport in it.

You can't put a sub report in a text box.

I don't understand what the problem is. Maybe someone else can help.

Not sure what you are trying to accomplish. It is true you cannot put a sub report in a text box. You can put a sub-report in it's own section. Then use section options to control the behavior a little bit.
