Do you know if it is possible to create a link from an external program or website to a report or folder on the crystal reports server.

We have lots of little apps that have run crystal reports, but that requires us to distribute crystal dlls to the client and is becoming a bit difficult. It would be nice if we could link directly to a report that is stored on the ad hoc server.

Thanks. That helps a ton.

Our CR2008 server logs us in automatically based on our Network Permissions.

This link works if I am logged into CR2008 Server already.

NAME>/OpenDocument/opendoc/opendocument.aspx?iDocID=59287

But If i am not logged in, it prompts me to login and looks like its trying to do Enterprise Authentication instead of AD.

I haven't worked with this with AD authentication, but there should be some info in the instructions for how to get there from here. If not, look in your Admin Guide for the instructions for setting up AD authentication. I believe there are some changes that can be made to the web.xml file under OpenDocument that will default it to use AD authentication - these are the same or similar changes to what was made in the InfoView web.xml file for AD.

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.
