Crystal Reports: Null Values, Forwading Reports, and Duplicate Entries

I'm still relatively new at Crystal Reports, so these may be very basic questions....
1.How do you use the select expert to find null values in a report?
2.How do you/can you send a report without the actual records?
3.How do you use the select expert to exclude duplicate entries without suppressing them?

1. Under report options, "Convet null field value to default"

2. I'm not sure what you mean.

3. The best way I could think of would be to have your source view select distinct records.
