I have a client currently running an application written in Delphi 3.0 using Crystal Reports 6.0 and Oracle 7.3.4.

The client is interested in updgrading from Crystal 6.0 to 8.5.

Is anyone aware of any issues with migrating from 6.0 to 8.5? Is 8.5 fully compatible with Crystal 6?

Are these reports launched from the APP?
Which integration method are they using? Ken Hamady, On-site/Phone Crystal Reports Training/Consulting

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the reports are launched from the APP using crpe32.dll

They should be fully compatible. As long as they stay with the same integration method they probably won't have to change any code, but they should replace the project DLLs with the newest DLLs if they are using reports designed with CR8.x.

If they are changing integration methods, the reports will be fine, but the code to control them will be completely different.
