Hi there,

Can anyone notify me of the significance of creating crystal reports in a Microsoft SQL Server environment. Anything that would be out of the ordinary from creating new reports etc? Any links would be handy along with your own interpretation...

... Any overview would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Rob

Not sure I understand the request...are you asking what value a Crystal Report have created on a SQL environment (as opposed to for example a Access database)? Or what the value of Crystal reports are in general? Please advise and I'll try to help...

Hi Etienne, many thanks for replying.

I'm wondering if there's anything from a technical point of view, either on the Crystal side or SQL Server that I would need to be aware of (that is worthy of note). For example caching of the data if you save the report outside of the sql server environment ... anything technical worthy of note associated with Crystal and SQL Server working together.

Many thanks,

Rob

It is quite a broad subject, have you scrutenised the crystal technical and knowledge base pages yet? It really all depends on what you would like to know. But there are quite a lot of technical information here to note.
