Does anyone have a bright idea on this? We have published Solomon which uses Crystal reports. The users need to use the Crystal export function to output reports as a MAPI attachment and when you generally select that it opens your mail client, but because they are in their citrix seamless window, nothing happens. It will not open their local mail client and we don't want to manage email on the citrix server.

We used to do these reports out of an Access db and used the file, Send command to do this. I am simply trying to duplicate that functionality or come close, in this new citrix environment.

This can be tricky....

1st make sure that ALL of the Crystal DLLs (c:\wtsrv\crystal, where c:\ is your Citrix root drive and WSTRV is the OS root folder)have been copied to the SYSTEM 32 folder. (C:\WTSRV\SYSTEM, using the example above)

2nd, each user will need an email profile setup on the Citrix server in question. This can be a shared email account or specific to the individual. This is where it gets tricky. I personally have not attempted to setup exporting of Crystal reports to e-mail. We do allow exporting to applications and flat files, which allows the user to save the export locally and email it from there.

It would undoubtedly be easiest to setup a MAPI client on the Citrix server, but if all you are doing is sending an Access *.mdb file, is it not the case that you could simply map a network drive to wherever the files are located and send using the local mail client?

As far as my first point is concerned, you would not be "managing" e-mail on the Citrix server, just configuring the client to point to your existing mail server.

I hope this is helpful CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk
